New Master of Arts/Master of Fine Arts courses Available

Plymouth University is proud to announce that we now offer two more MA/MFA courses available to students:

MA/MFA Performance Training 
This programme is aimed at emergent theatre and performance makers who wish to advance their understanding of and proficiency in performance training processes. The programme understands training in its widest possible meaning. Prospective students will explore the larger implications of training in/for performance and will be able to specialise in a specific training of their choice (such as acting, live art or performance-making training).

MA/MFA Choreography 
These programmes offer students the opportunity to develop their performance skills and choreographic practice in a stimulating and creative  teaching environment. Students in the programme will be encouraged to develop a distinctive choreographic voice and build on their portfolio of professional experience.

These programmes will also prepare those students who wish to undertake practice-based research degrees at a higher level (MPhil/PhD). There will also be opportunities for students to present their work at performance platforms and external venues and develop their workshop and teaching skills.

English Language Centre

12-week in-sessional ‘English in your Subject’ course following the summer pre-sessional courses.

Students successfully completing a 8 or 6-week pre-sessional courses will now, alongside their degree programme, follow a 12-week insessional ‘English in your subject’ course in term 1 in order to maintain and further develop their academic English skills.  For further details, please follow this link

Management Practice Online Top-up degree

BSc Hons Management Practice
BSc Hons Management Practice – Leadership and HRM
BSc Hons Management Practice – International Trade

This course is for students who want to top-up existing qualifications to a full honours degree in Management Practice. The course is delivered entirely online, part-time, over two years. Students study management practice and they can choose to specialise in Leadership and HRM or International Trade and get professional recognition and accreditation in these areas.

The course is recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). The CII is the world’s largest professional body for insurance and financial services. It has 117,000 members in 15 countries world wide. To find out more about the CII, visit www.cii.co.uk.

The course has a dedicated website with great resources, and students can use Plymouth University’s e-library and student services. Students will have a personal tutor for online academic support and a subject tutor for weekly online tutorials with a small group of students. The course has lots of practical and work-based activity and learning, live projects and work based- action research. As it is online, students can study anywhere and around their commitments.
