Macquarie scholarships

We’re pleased to offer one of the largest international scholarship programs of any Australian university. In 2014, more than 10 per cent of all international student commencements at Macquarie were on scholarships.



Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships
These generous partial scholarships up to A$10,000 are available to students from all countries with a minimum GPA of 3 out of 4 or ATAR 90 out of 100. Applicants are assessed on an ongoing basis and must hold a full offer to Macquarie University before submitting their scholarship application as they need to include a Macquarie student ID. The closing date for Session 2 is 30 June 2015Find out more.

Study Abroad

Macquarie is excited to announce our recent acceptance into the Generation Study Abroad network, and the increased diversity this will bring to our student body. Generation Study Abroad is a five-year initiative of the Institute on International Education (IIE) to mobilise resources and commitments with the goal of doubling the number of US students studying abroad by the end of the decade.

Engineering and FIRST Robotics


Macquarie is hosting a regional FIRST Robotics competition from 12 – 14 March at Sydney Olympic Park. Expected to attract more than 1000 students from Australia, Asia and the USA, students with an interest in science and technology will design and build robots, and then put them to the test in the competition challenges. Find out more.
