University of Tasmania - Australia

Australia’s first ever July intake pharmacy degree

The University of Tasmania is offering Australia’s first ever 3.5 year July entry Bachelor of Pharmacy course. By allowing July intake students to do one summer semester unit a year, the University of Tasmania allows these students to complete their degree in 3.5 years rather than the usual 4 years.

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (mid year entry) is a professionally accredited pharmacy program. This campus-based undergraduate course takes a minimum of 3.5 years to complete, with some units offered over the summer semesters during the initial years of the program. The initial years are studied in Hobart, while periods of Years 3 and 4 involve clinical placements undertaken at a wide variety of pharmacy practice sites throughout Tasmania and possibly interstate and overseas.

Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS)

The University of Tasmania has been providing generous scholarships to international students for over a decade and in some countries is commonly referred to as "The Scholarships University". Our largest scholarship program is the Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS) that provides commencing international students with a 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for the duration of their course (provided satisfactory grades are maintained). TIS is available for most undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees offered by UTAS and is also available for the Foundation Studies Program.

How do I apply  for TIS?

You do not need to complete any additional paperwork! All international students who submit an application to study at UTAS will be automatically assessed for TIS by our Admissions Team.  If you are successful, this will be outlined in your UTAS Letter of Offer.

So why wait? Semester 2, 2015 applications are now open.
